Lake Login Martin Information

A 275 mile shoreline, carved in coves, winds its way through Pell City and beyond. Lake Logan Martin, the 18,000 acre lake which was built in 1965 by Alabama Power Company, has the nickname of the "Lake of a Thousand Coves." All of the coves have a distinct personality (Shade, sun, year-round fishing, skiing, wading, or meditating.) Some are isolated and others are well populated. But no two are exactly alike.

Besides the great fishing, the lake is also a popular attraction for boaters and skiers. Boats and motor rentals are available, bait shops and marine stores vie for a chance to meet water enthusiasts' every need.

Pell City Lakeside Park, a 70-acre sprawling complex of nature trails, picnic facilities, boat launches, and fishing piers, provides the perfect setting for family activities and get-togethers.

Pell City now has a first class senior facility for older residents to enjoy crafts, games, fellowship with friends and great meals.
